3rd Sunday of Advent

12-09-2020Pastor's LetterFr. Arlindo Paul Da Silva

Especially during this Advent season we should pray to our Mother, the Blessed Virgin Mary, and ask for her intercession as we pray for an end to this pandemic and prepare our hearts for the birth of Our Savior Jesus on Christmas. Please note that the Mass times for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day have been revised since we mailed the schedule to your homes, and unfortunately, we have been directed to cancel our Penance Service that had been scheduled for December 18.

All Christmas Eve Masses will be offered in both the church and the auditorium. On Christmas Day Mass will be offered in the church 7:00am, 9:00am, 11:00am and 1:00pm, and in the auditorium 10:00am and 12:00pm. We hope to be able to accommodate everyone wishing to attend Mass, but we suggest you arrive early, as we are required to limit seating.

The following continues:

  • Our Parish Office is open Mon-Fri, 9:00am - 5:00pm. All visiting the office must wear a mask.
  • Seating is limited per safety guidelines. Seats will be available on a first come first serve basis. Certain Masses have been reaching permissible capacity. You are encouraged to arrive early.
  • For weekend Masses seating will be assigned by ushers as people arrive to ensure proper social distancing.
  • Entrance to the church on Sunday is restricted to the front door and elevator only. Side doors are for exiting.
  • Masks must be worn at all times while inside the church.
  • Parishioners must observe social distancing both inside and outside the church, before and after Mass.
  • Those who are most vulnerable due to age or health are encouraged to stay home. Such individuals are welcome to visit the church during the week for private prayer. The obligation to attend Sunday Mass continues to be dispensed by Bishop Checchio.
  • Those who are sick or symptomatic must stay home.
  • Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration now takes place in the church, except weekdays when Mass is celebrated and Sunday 7:00am - 6:00pm. Live-stream Eucharistic Adoration from the chapel continues to be available 24/7.

We thank all our first responders and frontline workers and ask you to continue to pray for the healing and comfort for all those affected by COVID-19.
