Corpus Christi Procession

Add Sun, Jun 11 @ 3:00 PM

An ancient tradition in the universal Church on the Solemnity of Corpus Christi (the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ), is the procession of the faithful through the streets of their towns and cities with Jesus’ REAL PRESENCE in the Blessed Sacrament. This year, in conjunction with the National Eucharistic Revival called for by the Bishops, we will join parishes across the country in bearing public witness to Jesus Christ’s love for us as our Bread of Life.

All families are encouraged to attend with their children. The First Holy Communion recipients will have a special part to play and are asked to wear their First Communion clothes.

Light Refreshments will be served following the Procession.

If you would like to join the Corpus Christi Procession Committee or wish to have your child take part in the procession dressed as an angel or saint, or would like to assist by carrying a banner or the Processional Canopy used during the procession, please call either the Parish Office at 732-968-5555, Irene Russo at 732-752-0547, or Sue Ellen Bibby at 732-649-9304.
